Research Interests

Leenh has always been interested in science applications and as a medical student she is interested in the human body and its mechanisms. She was introduced to research early when she started working in the Undergraduate Research Committee in the college. Coming from a medical background, Leenh believes the integration of basic science into medical training and clinical practice is crucial to understanding the human body and the underlying causes of diseases and thus better contributing to answering questions and providing solutions. Currently Leenh is exploring the properties of hydrogels to culture cancer cells for later usage of testing new ways of early detection and treatment.​

  • 2016 – present: Medical Education Research Group (MERG) member, College of Medicine Alfaisal University.2016 –present: “SMILE cancer support group” Basic Lab Training (BLT) research group member, Alfaisal University.
  • 2015 - 2016: Undergraduate research committee's female representative of assessment and development, Medical Students Association (MSA), College of Medicine, Alfaisal University.

Awards

The National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity (Ibda’a), King Abdulaziz and his companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba):

  • 2012: Participation with an invention poster in the Electrical and Mechanical Field and winning the Educational Districts' Tournament (stage III) and qualification to the final stage (National tournament).
  • 2011: Participation with an invention poster in the behavior and social sciences field and winning the Ministry of Education's Tournament (Stage II) and qualification to the third stage (Ar Riyadh province tournament).
